The expressive nose features astonishingly elegant aromas of green spiced apple and hints of exotic fruit and citrus that are trimmed in enough wood to notice. There is excellent verve to the intensely mineral-driven flavors that are crystalline in their purity of expression and gorgeously well-detailed. and overall the 2000 Chevy is a complete wine with a brilliantly long finish that seems to be crafted from liquified rock. In terms of drinkability, to my taste this stunner of a wine has arived at its apogee though it should provide another 15 to perhaps 20 years of enjoyment. Multiple, and consistent, notes as my scores have varied only between 95 and 96. Moreover, I have never had a premoxed bottle though it's possible that I have simply been fortunate. - BH
