“Clay on red limestone with manganese and iron oxide. One of the darker purples in colour. The bouquet is backward but suggests darker fruit, some blood orange from the iron, amazing density at the back which is where the blood orange kicks in, mostly old vines (the youngest plot being 45 years old). Others are 80 to 90+. Very satisfying long aftertaste. Tasted: December 2021.”
