Silico-calcaire soil. Lost c 30% to hail. Barrels are one year old. Lightish garnet with some brick at the rim. So seductive on the nose, so complex. Delicate start of maturity, with those hints of undergrowth but so much more. An amazing combination of sweet mature and fresh fruit -- ripe but not an iota of overripeness. Very very fine tannic texture. Amazing gentleness and silky length. A wine for love. - JR
